Driving: Full UK Driving Licence essential
Totus Care UK is seeking a female Support Worker who holds a full UK driving licence to join our dedicated team. This role involves supporting adult females with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities or complex needs in their own homes and in the community.
Due to the personal nature of the care required including personal care and support with daily living tasks this post is open to female applicants only (in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support with dignity and respect
- Assist with personal care, grooming, dressing and hygiene
- Drive clients safely to appointments, community activities, day services and social outings
- Support with meal preparation, medication prompts, and household routines
- Encourage independence, confidence and social participation
- Maintain accurate and professional care records
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety and organisational policies
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals and the wider care team
Requirements
- Female (Genuine Occupational Requirement)
- Full UK Driving Licence – essential
- Right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship)
- A caring, patient and reliable approach to supporting vulnerable adults
- Ability to work flexible shifts (including some evenings or weekends)
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Experience in care is helpful but not required — full training provided
- Willingness to undertake a DBS check, induction and mandatory training
