Totus Care UK is looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated Support Workers who are confident drivers to join our growing team. You will be supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and/or complex needs within the community and in supported living settings.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others live independently, values person-centred care, and can confidently support individuals to access the community, appointments and activities using a car.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support in line with individual care plans
- Support with everyday tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, medication prompts and household duties
- Safely transport individuals to appointments, community activities, day services and social engagements
- Promote independence, choice, dignity and wellbeing
- Support individuals with communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour approaches (training provided)
- Maintain accurate and timely records, and promote safeguarding at all times
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential — full training is provided
- Right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time)
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings (rotas vary)
- A caring, patient and reliable attitude
- Good communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Willingness to complete a DBS check and mandatory training
